About the team:Step into our world where data transcends as we orchestrate publishing and consuming of real-time streams via Apache Kafka on the Platform. Stream Connect for Apache Kafka links a customer’s kafka environment to the ServiceNow instance enabling high-volume data streaming between the instance and the external systems with low latency. As architects of data flow, we empower some of ServiceNow’s most remarkable applications (CMDB, SecOps, HR, ITOM ).As we continue to push the boundaries of data flow, we are actively seeking passionate engineers who possess the ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and contribute to the development of robust and scalable solutions.What you get to do in this role:Help design, develop, and maintain robust solutions to support Stream Processing.30% Front End (JavaScript, React & Angular) and 70% Back End Development (Java)Help create guided and intuitive experience to enable low code developmentBuild high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)Partner with senior to staff level peers and collaborate with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality products to our users.Implement software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs.Help design and implement new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suiteTo be successful in this role you have:Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerationsExperience working with relational databases including development, troubleshooting and performance optimization.Experience with multiple technology stacks: Cloud Dev, Platforms, Web Dev, Frameworks or service–oriented architecturePassion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentizationExperience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerationsExperience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or VueAnalytical and design skillsWorking knowledge and ability to use tools to assist with daily tasks (IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools)
