Shop Painter

Position Overview:

We're hiring a Shop Painter to join our fabrication team. This role involves prepping and painting large steel tanks and components using industrial coatings. The right candidate has experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting and values quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare metal surfaces by blasting, cleaning, and masking.

Apply primers and topcoats using airless and conventional spray systems.

Ensure coatings meet required thickness and finish standards.

Maintain paint equipment and clean work areas.

Safely handle paint materials and follow environmental procedures.

Use PPE, including respirators and protective suits.

Assist with other shop tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience in industrial painting or steel fabrication preferred.

Knowledge of surface prep and paint application processes.

Ability to read basic instructions and follow safety procedures.

Forklift/crane experience is a plus (training available).

Must pass respirator fit test (provided by employer).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
