Part-time Food Preparer

Our church is looking for someone to prepare a simple meal in our beautiful, large kitchen for around 80 people following service each Sunday (approx. 11:30am). Collaborating with the minister, you’ll plan meals, shop for food, prepare the meal on Sunday morning, and lead the kitchen cleanup with help from church volunteers.

This is an opportunity for someone who likes to cook, enjoys being around kind, uplifting people, and is looking for a little extra income. The position is 8 hours a week (2 throughout the week, 6 on Sunday), and the rate of pay is $17/hour.

GENERAL DUTIES

1. Create weekly menu.

2. Shop for food and communicate paper supplies needs with office manager.

3. Manage food expenses in consultation with office manager.

4. Coordinate volunteers.

5. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.

6. Organize church refrigerator.

7. Prepare any foods that cannot be prepared on Sunday morning.

SUNDAY MORNING DUTIES

1. Set-up Fellowship Hall.

2. Finish food preparation.

3. Set up and maintain serving tables, replenishing, and clearing when needed.

4. Be on hand when the service has ended to welcome and direct guests.

5. General organization of kitchen and storage.

6. Organize clean up following the meal.
