Crossing Guard

Job Summary IDEAL FOR ELDORADO HILLS AND SURROUNDING AREAS RESIDENTS.

The Crossing Guard plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians as they navigate busy streets, particularly during school hours. This position requires a responsible individual who can effectively manage traffic and provide clear guidance to students and parents. The Crossing Guard will work closely with local law enforcement and school officials to maintain a safe environment for all.

Schedule:

2 hours during drop off and 2 hours during pickup / school days only

Duties

Direct traffic at designated crosswalks to ensure safe passage for pedestrians, especially school children.

Monitor and enforce traffic laws to prevent accidents and ensure compliance from drivers.

Communicate clearly with students, parents, and motorists to provide instructions and information regarding crossing procedures.

Remain vigilant and attentive to surroundings to identify potential hazards or unsafe situations.

Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate authorities promptly.

Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public, demonstrating strong communication skills.
