Craftsperson for our Lamp Building Department

Lamps by Hilliard in Arcata is looking for a bright, talented craftsperson to join our lamp building department.

40 hours per week.

Starting at 18, raise at proficiency.

Because there can be a large learning curve, we are looking for a long term employee.

Please do not apply if you are only looking for short term.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Build glass tile lamps based on specific patterns and designs

-Solder glass lamps

-Patina lamps

-Grind glass shapes

-Clean work area

Qualifications and Skills:

-Time management

-positive attitude

-must be able to lift 50 lbs

-Excellent dexterity with hands

-Attention to detail

-Able to learn quickly and follow precise directions.

-Self Motivated

-Efficient worker

-experience with shop tools is a plus.
