Our professional well-established Medico-legal Group is seeking a Live-Support Assistant to contact patients and assist them in filling out paperwork and testing for their upcoming appointments. Useful work experience/qualifications preferably would include direct experience in the mental health field as a clinician and/or in the field of Workers Compensation; however, is not required. This is a part-time independent contractor position. The perfect candidate will be able to commute to appointments as scheduled. The ideal candidate needs to be flexible in terms of scheduling which will be random and sporadic.
Our physicians work as QMEs (Qualified Medical Examiners) performing Workers Compensation Evaluations. Strong communication skills are absolutely essential for this position. Stable internet connection, phone service, and reliable tablet/computer required. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
Essential duties include:
1) Checking assignment task sheet daily
2) Contacting patients to set up a time to complete paperwork and testing (sometimes over the phone and sometimes over video)
3) Maintaining poise and pleasant demeanor as there is the potential to be working with applicants who may have medical/psychological injuries.
4) Keeping assignment task sheet updated with status and completion of assignments
5) Completing assignments on time
6) Communicating with administrative staff on any assignment issues
7) Scanning/uploading completed paperwork into the proper folder
8) Communicating clearly and effectively via email/text/phone with patients.
9) Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times (maintaining HIPAA compliance).
