Looking for a leader for my team of four caregivers who support me as I recover from a recent surgery and continue my multi year fight with cancer

Key Responsibilities

Leading Caregiver Staff: Work with me and my family on recruiting and screening caregivers for final interviews and hiring. Upon my request remove individual caregivers from the schedule and source new caregivers as needed. Create and manage schedule for all caregiving staff, family, and friends as needed to provide 24/7 coverage at my home.

Observation and Reporting: Monitoring my physical and emotional condition, documenting changes, and communicating concerns or progress to healthcare professionals and family members.

Adherence to Care Plans: Following my care plans as developed by healthcare professionals, family members, or social workers to ensure that my needs are consistently met.

Management Systems: Develop and implement processes and systems to ensure that all caregivers are delivering quality care and complying with Care Plans

Reporting and Documentation: Develop and manage system for documenting Daily activities and routines, Medication administration and reminders, Changes in my condition, Incidents, accidents, or emergencies, communication with other caregivers, and communication with family members or healthcare professionals

Advocacy: Acting as an advocate for my well-being, privacy, and dignity, and respecting my wishes whenever possible.

Caregivers Duties and Responsibilities:

Assistance with Daily Living Activities: Helping me with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.

Mobility and Transfer Support: Assisting me in moving safely around my home, using mobility aids as needed

Meal Preparation and Feeding: Planning and preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions and my personal preferences. As needed support me in feeding through the G-tube.

Medication Reminders and Administration: Remind me to take prescribed medications at designated times. As needed, will grind, prepare and administer medications through G-tube. Monitor for side effects, and report concerns to healthcare professionals and family members.

IV Antibiotic administration: Support me in administering daily IV antibiotics.

Assist with rehabilitation exercises as guided by healthcare professionals

Monitoring for complications and signs of change in condition

Light Housekeeping: Performing routine household tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Companionship and Emotional Support: Engaging in conversation, providing reassurance, and participating in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

Errands and Transportation: Accompanying or assisting me with shopping, attending medical appointments, or other outings as requested.

Attention to Detail: Observing changes in my physical and mental health and adhering to specific care instructions or medication schedules.

Time Management: Balancing multiple tasks efficiently to ensure I receive timely and appropriate care.

Problem-Solving Ability: Responding to unexpected situations with resourcefulness and sound judgment.

Discretion and Confidentiality: Respecting my privacy and handling sensitive information securely.

Schedule and Working Hours

Lead Caregiver is Full time position. Other caregiver schedules can be flexible, including part-time, full-time, or overnight depending on my needs.

Lead Caregiver will coordinate with me and my family to ensure that medical and other appointments are on the schedule and that appropriate coverage is provided.

Hourly pay is negotiable DOE.
