Engineering - Craftsperson/Carpenter

As a Craftsperson/Carpenter your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceRepair, maintain, dismantle structures, furniture, woodwork, doors, folding walls, ceilings, tile, sheetrock and hardware throughout the resort.Visually inspects, diagnoses problems, takes measurements and makes necessary adjustments to items such as door hardware to ensure safe smooth operation of guestrooms, public space, and back of the house facilities.Maintain and repair doors, furniture, windows, hang artwork, headboards, mirrors, etc.Performs shop work to repair or build furniture and small structures.Identifies types and grade of wood and be familiar with hardware materials available to the Carpentry trade.Able to work closely with Vendors and team members to ensure proper quantities of building supplies are always on hand without exceeding the monthly budget. Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests, colleagues, damage to our property or the property of others.  Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
