Electronics Technician

Crown is hiring Full-Time Electronics Technician in Anchorage, Alaska to join our team of floating electronics installers. This position is 25% travel throughout the state of Alaska and with a workspace out of Anchorage. Monday - Thursday 6 am-4:30pm.This position requires a level of confidence to work in geographic isolation, so the candidate must have the technical knowledge and aptitude to create solutions in unique situations. The Electronics Technician will receive technical advice from a Technical Manager and/or Engineer, however will still be expected to work largely in a stand-alone capacity due to the nature of the work, and will need to be a de-facto on-site Electronic/Communications Subject matter Expert (SME).Although each installation is unique, typical duties include:Conduct pre-installation meetings.Coordinate frequency outages with relevant stakeholders.Remove and dispose of existing communications equipment.Install new radio racks, radios, and other government-furnished equipment (GFE).Install new or upgraded conduit and cable trays.Remove and replace antennas as required.Install junction boxes to support system functionality.Perform electronics testing procedures to ensure proper operation.Carry out other duties as assigned.
