Catering Delivery Driver Duties

1. Order Preparation & Loading

Verify that all food, beverages, utensils, and supplies match the order.

Safely and efficiently load catering orders into the delivery vehicle to prevent damage or spillage.

2. Timely Delivery

Deliver catering orders to clients promptly and within scheduled time windows.

Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route sheets.

Communicate with clients in case of delays or delivery issues.

3. Setup & Presentation

Set up food and beverage displays as required, ensuring professional and attractive presentation.

Follow client instructions for placement, equipment setup, and layout (buffet lines, boxed lunches, etc.).

4. Customer Service

Greet clients courteously and maintain a professional appearance.

Confirm order accuracy and gather signatures or delivery confirmations as needed.

Address on-site issues or questions and escalate concerns appropriately.

5. Equipment Handling & Return

Deliver and set up rental items (chafing dishes, beverage dispensers, racks, etc.).

Pick up equipment and leftovers after events as scheduled.

Ensure all items are returned clean and in good condition.

6. Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness

Keep delivery vehicle clean, organized, and fueled.

Perform basic vehicle checks (tires, lights, fluids) and report maintenance needs promptly.

7. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate delivery logs and receipts.

Report customer feedback, delivery issues, or order discrepancies to supervisors or catering managers.

8. Compliance & Safety

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines during transport and setup.

Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies.
