This role is responsible for testing and inspection of structural steel during erection.This is a direct hire opportunity with ability to earn overtime compensation. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification

Ability to read blueprints and understand, and interpret tolerances

3+ years' of related testing experience

Testing and inspection of structural steel during erection

Inspect structural steel erection for buildings

Perform visual inspections on welded products in progress and completed jobs

Inspect weld jobs for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut etc.

Record results of tests and welding inspections

Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component

The essential functions of this role include:

working up to 15 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends qualifications:
